Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
Very thoughtful comments, Anna.
Check your pronunciation of 'IMAGE' and 'THREATENED' (use an online dictionary) and remember that we use an object with TELL but not with SAY.
"I want to TELL you that...." is correct.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
Thanks, Teresa!
Check (with an online dictionary) your pronunciation of COMMUNICATE (the 'U' sound should be 'YOU' rather than 'OO')
"It seems a real pharmacy..." is incorrect. After studying verbs of the senses in 7B, I think you now know that you should have said 'IT LOOKS LIKE a real pharmacy' or you could use infinitive 'IT SEEMS TO BE a real....'
Is that clear?
Thanks again

Well, I just realized that I didn’t mention the name of the painting, so in case you are wondering it is Dali’s Persistence of memory.

Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
Really interesting comments, Sara.
Check your pronunciation of 'CORRECT' (where is the stress?) with an online dictionary...and also 'REALISE'.
At first, I didn't understand when you said the word 'THROUGH'. It wasn't very clear. I know the 'TH' sound can be difficult. Try doing some pronunciation exercises with 'TH' words.
Thanks again, Sara. Great work!

Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
You sound very confident when you speak and your pronunciation is very clear.
Be careful with 'QUARANTINED' though.
https://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/grammar/beginner-grammar/past-simple-regular-verbs
There are three groups for pronunciation of 'ed' ending of regular past simple verbs: /d/ /t/ /id/
Quarantined belongs to the /d/ group.
Be careful not to speak too quickly. Calmly and clearly without rushing.
Thanks, Sara!

Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
Thanks for your very clear comments, Chiara.
Check the word stress for 'EXILED'. And yes, you corrected yourself....'ARTIST' rather than 'author'.
Great work!

Re: INSTALLATION ART

par Claire Jenkins,
I like the frog too! Thanks for your comments, Francesca.
Check the correct pronunciation of 'CIRCUS'.
I struggled a little bit to understand the part when you talk about the aim of this piece and you say "to have a ??? attitude when hard times come".
Thanks for posting your thoughts!
